Many manufacturers and sellers provide high-purity iron powder, but few know the exact purity standard for it. Currently, there is no official industry standard, but the market generally recognizes iron powder with over 98% iron content as high-purity, while that below 98% is simply called pure iron powder.
You may also encounter terms like 3N, 4N or 5N when referring to its purity. Here, "N" stands for "Nine" in English. Specifically, 3N means 99.9% purity, 4N 99.99%, and 5N 99.999%. High-purity iron powder reaching 3N or 4N is already of high quality, though its price is higher due to more complex production processes and greater difficulty.
